Picture book, red stone cottage that can be found on the eastern end of West Princes Street Garden.
The cottage sits down the hill from the Floral Clock at the bottom of the hill, and beside the Garden of Remembrance.
The garden is always beautifully kept, with bright rose bushes popping out from neat hedge rows in the summer.
The Gardener’s Cottage which sits just below the Floral Clock entrance, on the mound, was used for generations to house the Gardener responsible for maintaining the Gardens.
In 2017, as part of a project to enhance Princes Street Garden, the interior of the cottage was developed into a modern office space upstairs, with a Victorian themed dining room and parlour downstairs, in keeping with the character of the building.
At Fringe 2021, the Gardener's Cottage was the starting point for Assembly Festival's spy-themed Agent November's Major X Ploe-Shun – Outdoor Escape Game.
