About the Park

Quiet, leafy park in Edinburgh New Town, near Canonmills. Accessed off Eyre Place, the Rodney Street tunnel, or down a steep pathway from Royal Crescent/Scotland Yard.

The residential park is popular with local dog walkers. Adjacent is Scotland Yard Park which has kids' climbing frames, swings, and slides.

The Rodney Street tunnel, a former railway tunnel, officially re-opened in July 2009, extending the off-road pedestrian-cycleway network into the park. The 164 metre (538 ft) tunnel, in the North of King George V park, comes out at Tesco supermarket near Canonmills, and continues on through Warriston, Pilrig, and on to the waterfront at Leith.
