New for 2023, Edinburgh’s Hogmanay introduces First Footin’, an afternoon of free live music and performance taking place across the Old and New Towns in some of Edinburgh’s landmark spots, pubs and other venues.

Participating venues include The Auld Hundred, Rose Street; The Black Bull, Grassmarket; The Boozy Cow, Frederick Street; Cold Town House, Grassmarket; Copper Blossom, George Street; Element, Rose Street; Eve,  Virgin Edinburgh, Cowgate; Greyfriars Hall, Virgin Edinburgh, Cowgate; Greyfriars Kirk, Candlemaker Row; KOMYUNITI, Yotel Edinburgh, Queen Street; The Huxley, Rutland Street; Rainy Hall, New College, The Mound and The Scottish Cafe at Scottish National Gallery, The Mound.

First Footin’ audiences can explore the city enjoying Hogmanay traditions of friendship, food and drink along with live music from artists from Edinburgh and across Scotland including singer-songwriter Callum Beattie (see video), Roseanne Reid and many more.
