About the venue
Old-school, traditional bar that probably doesn't look much different inside from when it first opened in 1899 (if you don't include the regular sports on the screens).
The traditional interior - mirrors and wooden furnishings - gives it a no-frills feel, with side rooms for groups. As well as a selection of cask ales, and malts carries pies and pub grub.
Clark's is sufficiently off the beaten path that it has a New Town, local pub atmosphere. Being on one of Edinburgh's main roads, between Princes Street and Canongate, it makes a good watering hole for anyone en route to the Botanics or Stockbridge.
