Description

This Halloween, Edinburgh’s Camera Obscura and World of Illusions will be transformed into a haunted house full of ghosts, ghouls, and goblins.

Running from October 12 until November 4, Scotland’s oldest purpose-built tourist attraction will play host to both the living, and the living dead. The skeleton staff are on hand with lots of terrifying tricks up their sleeves.

Come along and swap heads with a friend, dodge the skeletons in the mirror maze and, as the witching hour approaches, the Camera Obscura itself will play host to chilling ghost stories which will make your blood run cold.

To celebrate the festival, little monsters turning up will get the chance to make their own thaumatrope – or spinning picture disk – to take home with them. Also, youngsters turning up in fancy dress between October 27 and November 4 will receive 20% off admission price.

Camera Obscura and World of Illusions will be open 9:30am until 7pm throughout October, with extended opening times until 8pm during half-term. Admissions rates for adults £10.95, student/senior £8.95, children (5-15 yrs) £7.95 (under 5’s go free).
