A Boxing Day Bank Holiday takes place on the 26th December the day after Christmas Day. If Christmas Day or Boxing Day are on the weekend then either one or both bank holidays take place in the following business week.
Boxing Day (26th December) is one of Edinburgh City Council's four "Parking Holidays". You can park free of charge in public parking bays and on single yellow lines, although parking holidays do not carry over to the next working day and you can't park in bus lanes.
