Large, all-purpose venue with a standing capacity of up to 2800 hosting major events, from live rock concerts to trade shows, rave nights to wedding fairs.
Also known as the Edinburgh Corn Exchange, the venue was taken over by live music chain Academy Music Group Limited in 2021 and rebranded O2 Academy Edinburgh.
The venue remains an important for live music. It's seen a variety of big touring bands - N.E.R.D, Kate Nash, Pendulum and Arctic Monkeys. Past highlights have also included Oasis, Radiohead, Blur, Paul Weller, Kanye West, Charlatans and the Proclaimers.
As the name suggests the Corn Exchange is a former mercantile building, erected in 1909, with a courtyard and grassy lawn in front of it.
It's located next to Slateford train station some 3.6 kilometers (2 miles) to the south west of Edinburgh city centre.
