Description
The Edinburgh Academy Choir and Choral Society sing Coronation Classics.
Our reigning monarch’s Coronation in 1953 was loaded with theatrical and powerful choral music, fitting for such a global occasion.
Come and hear the combined might of the Academy choirs, conducted by Angus Tully, deliver some of the highlights, plus Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs featuring baritone solo Andrew McTaggart, and John Rutter’s setting of Psalm 150 which was commissioned for Her Majesty's Golden Jubilee Service in 2002.
