Edinburgh's publicly-funded arthouse cinema is a hub for the city's film buffs. The Filmhouse has the most varied programme of alternative film, ranging from arthouse and foreign cinema, to classics and mainstream second-run films.
The Filmhouse is closed, after its parent organisation the Centre for Moving Image, announced that it had ceased trading on 6th October 2022.
The café is a relaxed place to hang out for a coffee or pint (fairly good choice of beer on tap), and offers reasonable pre-film food, including vegetarian.
Monday to Saturday: £11 which includes a £2 donation.
All Sunday tickets cost £5 (excluding some screenings).
Members discount applies Mon-Sat only.
Filmhouse Members get £1.50 off tickets between Monday-Saturday, excluding Sunday.
