Scottish indie rockers Primal Scream will headline this year's Hogmanay Concert in the Gardens on 31st December 2011.
The concert in West Princes Street Gardens, under Edinburgh Castle, is the climax of the multi-day Edinburgh's Hogmanay Festival [tickets] that includes the Torchlight Procession, The Keilidh, and the Loony Dook.
Primal Scream will give a final performance of their landmark dance/rock 1991 album Screamadelica’ in its entirety for the Edinburgh audience, as part of its 20th anniversary year.
Produced by Andrew Weatherall Screamadelica features classic tracks 'Movin' On Up', 'Loaded' and the 10-minute anthem 'Come Together'. The album won the first Mercury Music Prize in 1992.
This will be followed after the bells at midnight with a greatest hits set spanning three decades.

Hogmanay Tickets
Tickets to Concert in the Gardens and also Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party will go on-sale to the public from 9.00am, Thursday 1 September.
The Hogmanay street party will feature headline artists, live music stages, giant screens and the spectacular Midnight Fireworks.
Tickets and registrations for all other Edinburgh’s Hogmanay events are on-sale 9am, Friday 30 September, and full event details to be announced in due course.
Festival organisers will release further artist details in the coming weeks with full programme
details announced early November.
