Ryanair will introduce three new routes from Edinburgh Airport to Faro, Marrakesh and Paris in May. It will bring the total number of routes the airline operates out of Edinburgh airport to 38.
Gordon Dewar, Managing Director, Edinburgh Airport, said: "We're delighted that Ryanair has chosen Edinburgh for this expansion. The addition of new routes and the increase in frequency of flights makes Edinburgh better connected than ever before."
"It is also pleasing that this approach has meant that we have managed to replace the seats lost by the collapse of Flyglobespan late last year."
Ryanair's traffic at Edinburgh Airport is expected to grow to approximately 2.5m passengers per annum as a result of the expansion.
Dewar added: "The Marrakech route is particularly exciting as it’s the first link from Scotland to this burgeoning tourist destination."
