The planned airport strike action for next week has been averted after the British Aviation Authority, the organisation that runs Edinburgh airport, and union members agreed to further negotiations over the future of employees' pension schemes.
Two further strikes due to take place in January will be called off later this week if union representatives agree to ratify the negotiation process with BAA.
