The town of St Andrews in Fife's annual St Andrew's Day festival spans several days with concerts, ceilidhs, and other events.
The town - perhaps best known as the home of golf, and for its university and ancient cathedral - will again be spreading out the outdoor hospitality on South street - one of the main three streets. On Saturday (26th), a pipe band torchlight procession is followed by the outdoor Nae4Wimps Ceilidh at a stage at the West Port. Last year it attracted over 1500. This year, the Sandy Smith Ceilidh Band leads.
Red Hot Chilli Pipers play on Friday night in a covered venue outside Madras College and the Peatbog Faeries on Saturday night at the same venue.
There will be a range of children’s events and competitions in the afternoons.
