Historic British car brands Aston Martin and Lotus are showing four of the feature cars of this year's Motor Show: the Aston Martin Rapide four door grand tourer will be joined by the unique Cygnet, Aston's first city car based on the Toyota IQ. Lotus will be displaying the supercharged Evoras and the track derived Elise Club Racer.
Works Honda BTCC driver Gordon Shedden will be joined by his rallying counterparts this weekend as David Bogie, double Scottish Rally Champion and Colin R Smith current World IRC.
The 2011 Scottish Motor Show will be the starting point for the tour of Britain charity drive by Edinburgh business man Alan Biggar in his historic Morgan. Alan has already raised £163,500 with his "Drive for Zoe" two years ago and this year is raising money for Cash For Kids, for children with cancer.
Among other exhibits, the WRC car, as used by Hirvonen and Latuala, will appear on the Ford stand this weekend. The Fiesta recently returned from the WRC Rally of Sardinia.
As part of the new Ladies Day Sunday, top Zumba Instructor Evelyn Crichton from Kinross will be teaching visitors to the Motor Show some new moves as part of the entertainment. Evelyn will be performing within the R.P.M Zone (Relaxation, Pampering and Make-over).
At 2.30pm Knockhill is hoping to set a record for the most people Zumba-ing at once.
Event Manager Gemma Hobbs said "It's going to be fun, Evelyn has a great personality and visitors to the show will be able to join in the fun and get a bit fitter too!"
