A family facing breast cancer is throwing a ball to help raise funds that will provide emotional and practical support for people affected by the disease.
Mummy’s Ball takes place on Saturday May 12 at Edinburgh Corn Exchange with proceeds donated to Breast Cancer Care.
The ball is the brainchild of Rosie Sutherland, 41 and her two daughters, Emma, 12 and Kate, 9. Rosie, from Fairmilehead, was inspired to fundraise for Breast Cancer Care after being diagnosed in February with stage one breast cancer. Last month Rosie, who manages Big Al Entertainment Group, under went a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
Mummy’s Ball will be hosted by Forth One DJ Grant Scott and promises to be a night of entertainment and fun complete with a red carpet and pink fizz reception, dinner and tribute band Abba Fever. There are also prizes to be won on the night including dinner, bed and breakfast and a deluxe suit at Stobo Castle.
