Description

The Mini Maker Faire, first launched in Edinburgh in 2013, is "a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement". A chance for hobbyists, garage inventors artists, and DIY-ers to show what they are making, and share what they are learning.

As part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival the Faire is very much about invention and creation with opportunities for people to both show off their skills and ingenuity, whether it be traditional crafts or innovative technologies, rapid prototyping or skills honed over many years.

You might want to learn how to repair and reuse everyday household objects, such as furniture, computers and clothes, get tips on flying drones, or solder electronic toys to take home.

The day will consist of workshops, talks, demonstrations and interactive shows. It's aimed at all ages.
