Edinburgh's Tightlaced Theatre presents a double bill of new writing: Charlie & My ’45 and I Promise I Shall Not Play Billiards, part of its Scandalous Scots season for 2012/13.

Scottish storyteller, writer and actor Robert Howat’s Charlie & My ’45 is a tale of charisma, manipulation and defeat snatched from the jaws of victory. Unwilling soldier Jamie is pressed into the Jacobite army, sulking and grumbling all the way to Derby, where a chance encounter with the persuasive Prince causes him to reconsider his opinions - and sends him charging headlong towards Drumossie Moor.
