Dougie MacLean's annual folk festival is held in a variety of intimate, unusual and relaxed venues including Innerpeffray Library (Scotland’s oldest library), the Iron age Crannog, The Garden Room at Hilton Dunkeld and Methven Castle.
The festival began in 2005 as a weekend of music and has grown to become a successful ten day event located around Dunkeld.
2012 Highlights
The Perthshire Amber festival this year includes the "stunningly talented" Julie Fowlis, the vibrant sounds of the Blazin’ Fiddles and the multi-talented ‘BBC Folk Musician of the Year 2012’ Tim Edey.
Dougie MacLean will also be appearing.
