About the venue

The Bayes Centre, opened in 2018, is named after the pioneering 17th century statistician Thomas Bayes. It is physically connected to the Informatics Forum at the University of Edinburgh, home to the largest computing research department in Europe, and the Dugald Stewart Building which hosts the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences.

The building provides space for hundreds of researchers, students and external partners over five floors. Its open design allows for interactive places for people from academia, industry and the public sector.
