Bank Garden is a private, residential garden in Edinburgh's New Town. Nearly six acres in size, the garden is managed on behalf of its residents by the Moray Feu, along with the nearby Moray Place Garden.
Bank is very different in character from that residential garden. Where Moray Place Garden is more open and gently sloping, Bank Garden is rugged and vertical.
If you are travelling along the Water of Leith between Stockbridge and Dean Village you will have seen Bank Garden, with its footpaths criss crossing the steep and at times rocky slopes.
The garden has beehives and a sun-drenched herb garden, with the Water of Leith running below and more private gardens of the New Town residences across the watter.
The area has a rural feeling and is a haven for wildlife, with throngs of song birds and squirrels.
