Cleverly written and astute in the points it picks up on, this is an interesting satirical exploration of the end of Trump’s second term. The storyline builds on reality and takes it to the extreme, with the irony being how believable this becomes. It is a dark humour, but a dark humour that makes sense.

Connor Cunningham as Trump, while not particularly resembling him physically, really has the voice and mannerisms down pat. The White House Chief-of-Staff, Morgan Vaugh, portrayed by Carly McCann, is the go-between for the General and Trump.  She looks suitably harassed, anxious and generally confused by Trump. General Reese, a fierce loyal soldier who barks order at everyone, is played with believable military stoicism. His voice is pitched well so we do not miss anything he says. The final character is Kitty Ball, a funny Carla Heart, who plays the librarian tasked with developing the new Presidential Library. The section about what is contained within the library is very funny.

Some of the actors’ voices were struggling to compete with the air conditioning unit, which is disappointing as the text is clearly engaging. Some clarity in parts of the direction could have helped to understand the context of certain scenes. The show is on a short run, so these likely just are teething problems. Overall, this is sharp and funny and worth a watch.
