The Firrenes (plus support: Ross Arthur)

The Firrenes are a new five-piece band from Edinburgh, playing original, song-based rock music and drawing on influences as varied as folk, soul, Americana, 70s rock, blues and classical. The band is fronted by singer/guitarist Jules Reed (aka Julian Wagstaff, who is also the band's principal songwriter) and singer Allie McMurchie. This is the band's second public performance, following a hugely successful launch concert last November. The Firrenes are delighted to welcome Edinburgh singer-songwriter Ross Arthur as their support act, and alto saxophonist James McCutcheon as guest musician on stage with The Firrenes.
