Climate Change Rally

Stop Climate Chaos Scotland is marking Earth Day by holding a Climate Change Rally to push for a strong Scottish Climate Change Bill. The organisers are gathering to lobby MSPs outside the Scottish Parliament, from 12–2pm.

Figures from the Scottish government itself show that Scotland's climate has changed dramatically over the last 40 years including:

• An increase in the average temperature of over 1 degree celcius
• A 20 per cent increase in rainfall
• The snow season has shortened
• A 25 per cent reduction in frost
• The growing season has lengthened by an average 33 days
