About the venue
One of a number of Edinburgh's boarding schools, David Bryce's neo-Gothic chateau building is distinguished by its tall spires and gargoyles, surrounded by large grounds and boarding houses.
Fettes pupils have included former Prime Minister Tony Blair and actress and Edinburgh International Film Festival patron Tilda Swinton, both in Kimmerghame House. The fictional James Bond also spent part of his education here.
At the Fringe 2009, the school erected a 250-seater Fettes College Marquee and hosted the Fettes Jazz Festival with internal and external bars, bbq foood and views of the city.
