The King's Theatre is on the look-out for the perfect princess for its christmas pantomime. Open auditions for the role of Princess Jasmine will be held at the King's Theatre on Thursday 12 June from 10am to 12pm.
Entrants, aged between 20 and 30 years old, should simply turn up at the venue and will be asked to perform two songs of their choice - one up-tempo piece and one ballad - in front of producer and director Paul Elliott and panto favourite Allan Stewart.
The winner will join Allan, back for his eleventh year this year in a King's panto as Widow Twankey, alongside Forth One DJ Grant Stott as Abanazar, comedian Johnny Mac as Aladdin, all-round entertainer Tom Urie and the gorgeous Jo Freer in this spectacular new production.
This year's panto will feature 3D effects for the first time at the King's. Audiences will be given 3D glasses to experience sequences during the show that include the Genie of the Lamp, Aladdin's cave of riches, and the carpet ride to Abanazar's lair.
Aladdin will be at the King's Theatre from Saturday 29 November 2008 to Sunday 18 January 2009.
