A surreal, complex, sometimes funny and profoundly thought provoking play following a woman’s heroic quest to find and rescue her husband.
Corinne Harris plays a woman whose search begins when she receives strange messages from her husband, who she believes is in a mental institution. But is this the man she thinks he is – does that man even exist?
Presented in an absurd, surreal style, it’s a humorous multi-layered exploration of the borderlines where dreaming and waking life dissolve. This production was invited to premier in the 2014 Dream Up Festival of Theatre for the New City, Off Off Broadway theatre in New York City.
Messages From A Mental Institution is written by Lee Gershuny, of Edinburgh-based The Elements of World Theatre, and stars Corinne Harris and James Bryce.
