The Firrenes are a five-piece band from Edinburgh, playing original, song-based rock and pop music and drawing on varied influences including 70s rock, Americana, blues, R&B and classical.
The band is fronted by singer/guitarist Jules Reed (aka Julian Wagstaff, who is also the band's principal songwriter). This concert will celebrate the launch of the band's first album, featuring the original songs 'Time and Place', 'Destitution Row', 'Everything Solid Melts Into Air', 'Door Too Wide' and many more. With kicking tunes and imaginative lyrics, this is a great evening out for fans of original, song-based rock music.
The Firrenes will play two 45 minute sets, and will be on stage at 8pm.
And for the avoidance of doubt, it's pronounced 'Firreens'. Rhyming with 'beans'!
