Description
Following on from Edinburgh's Christmas Light Night on the Mound, St Giles is the scene of this Scottish Norwegian Advent Concert marking Scotland’s close association with Norway.
Hordaland County Council and Edinburgh University Chamber Choir host the traditional Carol Concert in the City Church of Edinburgh, St Giles’ Cathedral.
The people of Hordaland have gifted the Christmas tree on The Mound to the people of Edinburgh since 1949.
Originally the tree was sourced from Norway, but since 2008 the tree has been sourced from Scotland, while remaining a gift from the people of Hordaland.
