Description
The Edinburgh Academy Choir and Choral Society perform two choral works, conducted by Angus Tully.
The first is Howard Goodall's 'Eternal Light', a modern Requiem written in 2008 that has, in a decade, become a firm favourite with choral societies and audiences across the land. It features soloists Emily Mitchell (soprano) and Andrew McTaggart (baritone).
The second is 'King Estmere' by Gustav Holst. It may not be well known but it should be! It is a swashbuckling English ballad, full of heroic and lyrical tunes.
Tickets are £15 (Grand Circle), £13 (Stalls), free for under 18s, and are available from the Usher Hall box office.
