Jason Donovan made a flying visit to Edinburgh on a day that the U.K. was shrouded in fog. He quickly lit up the room at the Glass House Hotel as he talked to Arlene Stuart about the third visit of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert to the Playhouse as their show for the Festive season.
A new cast member was introduced Gavin Mitchell (Boaby from 'Still Game') - he plays the part of 'Bob' in the show. A case of type-casting!
Jason was not afraid to describe it as a jukebox musical, but pointed out that it had a strong story before the pop songs were added.
A colourful show dealing with issues of transgender and homophobia, it is not a family show but an alternative to the fare on stage elsewhere.
Gavin and Jason, who had just met, made the most unlikely double act but it was an entertaining promotion for the show running this Christmas.
The show runs various dates and times from Tuesday 15th December to Saturday 2nd January 2016. The "Age guidance" is 15+
