Something of a tourist destination being just beside the graveyard where - legend has it - the famous Skye terrier would lay down beside his master's resting place.
A statue was cast by William Brodie, soon after Bobby's death in 1872 and can be found outside the pub on Candlemaker Row. The bronze dog has a very shiny nose from being rubbed each day by the hands of passing humans. Edinburgh City council gave the dog a nose job in 2013, as it was deemed to be looking a "little scruffy".
Meet outside for Fringe tours. Re-opened following renovation in 2012.
