An allocation of tickets to the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert 2010, the grand finale to the Edinburgh International Festival, goes on sale online today from 11.00am. Tickets are limited to four per person.
The Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert, which takes place on Sunday 5 September from 9.00pm, this year features music from the movies, with pieces from composers Korngold, Bernstein, Herrmann and Waxman performed by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
More than 100,000 fireworks will shoot into the sky over Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens and Edinburgh Castle for 45 minutes of live music with choreographed fireworks.
The event is the largest annual live music pyrotechnic display in the world and last year attracted an audience of more than 220,000 people viewing from vantage points across the Scottish capital. The Bank of Scotland recently announced that this would be be its last year sponsoring the Festival Fireworks Concert.
A final allocation of Gardens tickets will go on sale for counter sales only at Hub Tickets on Sunday 29 August at 10.00am.
