Earlier this year, the Traverse Theatre successfully hosted Glasgow's Òran Mór's Play, Pie and a Pint where lunchtime theatre goers could enjoy just that - a short play, followed or preceded by a delicious pie (strangely never a traditional meat one!) and a pint or equivalent drink to your taste.
That was in the Spring, so it's rather nice to have a similar strand, The Dough Is Rising, to look forward to now that we are in the Autumn. This time the season runs from 09 October to 13 November, the food is "a tasty bowl of soup and a sandwich" and the cultural part comprises performances, readings of new plays and discussions of issues relevant to theatre.
Sounds like a great way to spend a Friday lunchtime!
