She had a new coiffure, beaded dress, and a little rouge to the cheeks, but it was the same Susan Boyle. After all the buzz, the instant global stardom, and constant discussion around her audition performance for Britain's Got Talent it's perhaps not surprising that the 48-year-old singer's performance last night started a little nervously. However, after wobbling on a note or two, she quickly won the studio audience over, and had them on their feet by the end as she began to hit the high notes in her rendition of Memory from the musical Cats.
She now goes on to the finals. Two acts will be chosen by the public and viewers on each of the next five nights, to compete in the grand final on Saturday on ITV1.
