The Big List of Edinburgh Fringe 2016 Award Winners

Submitted by edg on Mon, 29 Aug '16 6.33pm

There was a total of 3,269 shows at the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe which ends today. With that many shows, it follows that there are many awards. We've highlighted some here on EdinburghGuide.com, such as the high profile Edinburgh Comedy Awards, unusually won by two scots comedians this year, and the fun Dave Award for the Funniest Fringe Joke.

EdinburghGuide.com has even had a hand in establishing one of the awards in previous years - the Scottish Arts Club Award for Best Scottish Play (although our reviewer wasn't as enamoured as the jury by this year's choice Expensive Shit, which also won a Fringe First).

In our festival reviews archive you can find our reviews of other winners such as Glasgow Girls (pictured), winner of the Amnesty Freedom of Expression Award, and Angel, which also goes home with a Fringe First and lesser known Holden Street Theatres Award.

There are simply too many awards to cover in detail, so as the players and punters pack up their bags to head home and everyone prepares for tonight's Festival Fireworks, I give you the big list of Fringe Awards:
