The star lit room with a dark glitter ball spinning creates a decadent atmosphere in the already glamorous Voodoo Rooms. Desmond O'Conner, a cheerful, relaxed, and much better looking Kenneth Williams, hosts Desmorphia, a fast-moving show where he and his multi-talented fellow artistes, Jim Deveraux and Sarah-Louise Young, entertain with sharp wit, outrageous comic characters and just great singing voices, as well as playing a variety of instruments to accompany.
Full of sensual imagination, this is Vaudeville for the 21st century.
O'Conner morphs from an Adam Ant fantasy to a tank-topped Latin teacher to a one man New Romantic spangled banner as he weaves his fantastically written edgy songs that cover disturbing subjects with clever comic levity. The audience loved it!
Burlesque is alive and in excellent health in the hands of these internationally known cabaret stars.
