Te POOKa, Edinburgh based street theatre performers, have transformed their premises in Lady Lawson Street into a fabulous, opulent Victorian salon where they provide entertainment every night from nine till one - Wednesday to Sunday.,
All the performers, who adopt a persona for the occasion, are dressed in lavish, flamboyant Victorian outfits and throughout the evening we are entertained by jugglers, trapeze artists, story tellers gymnasts, and a band. Everybody is so friendly and the place exudes a fiesta atmosphere.
Audience participation is encouraged and each night throughout the Festival the show will be different, with various guest artists coming in to perform. Selling organic wine and beer, they also have a garden at the back for smokers.
To catch the full flavour of the night, it's best to turn up early and the doors close at 10.30. With a wonderful atmosphere, the Big Red Door [10 Lady Lawson St] is Fringe entertainment at its best.
