Don’t miss out on a special one-off event being held at Edinburgh Zoo to celebrate the Chinese Moon Festival.
On Thursday 4 October 2012, we’re inviting you to join us and celebrate with the pandas by the light of the silvery moon. Take in the Chinese festive atmosphere in an evening panda viewing, where special guest Chinese musicians will play tunes on the Gu Zheng and Chinese flute.
From the candlelit panda walkway, we will embark on a night-time lantern walk to visit some of the Asian animals in the zoo and other animals out to enjoy the festivities. We will finish at the top of the hill for moon gazing, Chinese moon festival storytelling and a chance to keep warm with Chinese tea and mooncakes which are traditionally shared during the moon festival.
