Edinburgh's huge torchlight procession doesn't take place until the second last night of the year, but as part of its Bonfire Night celebrations, Haddington in East Lothian held a similar event each year, attracting a crowd of around 3,000 people.
The emphasis of the event since the pandemic has been the on the bonfire and fireworks show itself.
After taking a break in 2024, the volunteer-led event returns to Haddington in 2025.
Entry for the event is at the gates at Whittingehame Drive in Haddington from 6pm.
There will be food vendors and glow-in-the-dark merchandise.
A bonfire will be burning at 7pm, with a roughly 25-minute fireworks display at 7.30pm.
Tickets
Donation at the entry gate for the fireworks display is £2 per person. Children under 5 are free.
Organisers have requested that people bring change on the night so that they can drop donation straight into one of the buckets at the entry gates and go straight in.
"We will have very little change on the night."
