About the venue

The Sinclair family's 260-acre arable farm in South Queensferry is an open farm with a café and shop.

The farm provides wheat for local bakeries, and barley for whisky distilling. You can also pick your own (PYO) berries, beans, peas, cabbages, beetroot, squashes and other fruit and vegetables. Or you can buy them at the farm shop. Craigie farm also sells its own honey and jam, among other things.

The PYO season starts with asparagus in May. Strawberries start at the end of June and go on into August. Raspberries start mid July till mid August. The farm also has gooseberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, tayberries, sunflowers, and Victoria plums. Pumpkin picking rounds off the season in October.

The café provides food throughout the day, much of it sourced from the farm and locally. Craigie Farm's Local Food project is geared towards supplying food and work experience for local groups and female offenders.

The farm hosts a number of events and activities for all the family around food, drink, and farming, such as nature rambles, bike rides and tasting sessions.
