This is a little gem of a find! Next to Mellis, the cheese shop, the Stockbridge Kitchen produces excellent coffee and some of the best cakes in Edinburgh! Although very much a 'one woman band' with Alison being the leading light, the quality of the drinks and particularly the cakes and pastries is superb. Alison also produces most delicious steak and ale pies together with delicious chicken pies which are outstanding.
All the pies and all the cakes are cooked on a daily basis and are very fresh indeed.
One can have a meal here but the menu is a bit limited, however, what is on offer is of excellent quality.
