Visited "A Room in the Town" yesterday and was impressed by the friendly, warm welcome. It was not busy but on all previous occasions the atmosphere has been similarly welcoming. We were well looked after by an attentive waitress and had a bottle of their very drinkable house white wine. The menu was varied and the fish was particularly good. We had sea bass which both of us enjoyed. The soup of the day was nice and fresh and interesting as clearly the chef had been experimenting! In the past we have had very good puddings here and although these were not tried yesterday, the selection looked very good. Prices are very reasonable for lunch and only just a bit more expensive for dinner which makes it excellent value . We will certainly go back as eating here is a very pleasant experience - I would rate the restaurant as three and a half stars!
