17th-century Prestonfield is a five-star boutique hotel with 23 lavishly decorated rooms and suites and a celebrated restaurant (the hotel is owned by James Thomson, owner of Edinburgh’s Witchery by the Castle and Tower restaurants).
Situated just south of Holyrood Park, it is surrounded by twenty acres of gardens and parkland, yet within easy access of Edinburgh city centre.
The hotel is able to accommodate up to 500 dinner guests in an atmosphere of stately style, making it a popular setting for weddings, performances, corporate events, and such like.
During the Fringe in August '23, the Stables at Prestonfield House is the location for early evening Fringe cabaret chat including Sir Cliff Richard in conversation with Gloria Hunniford.
