SCOTTISH FALSETTO SOCK PUPPET THEATRE

The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre are stars of YouTube and darlings of the comedy circuit. The act began in the UK in 2005 and has performed internationally since. They first appeared as part of The Sitcom Trials in London. They appeared in the Gilded Balloon at Edinburgh Festival Fringe from 2007 to 2010, attracting 4* and 5* reviews. + 4 sellout years at the Edinburgh Fringe, whats more, they are taking Fringe Festival a break in 2011 so this will be the last chance to see them in Edinburgh this year.

Kev F, the man behind the socks writes & draws Bash St Kids adventures in The Beano and has worked for Marvel Comics, Viz, 2000AD, Funday Times, Dr Who and Red Dwarf. Now that's a double life!

"For sheer energy and laughs per hour, these comic stockings are the biz – denier miss it." - **** The Scotsman
"A show that will rock your socks off - if only all laundry could be this fun." - ****Three Weeks
"Utterly irresistible" - The Stage

TEDDY

Since 1997, Teddy, real name Ross Craig, has been performing stand up and already has a range of TV and radio writing credits to his name. He is a master one liner gag-smith and dark lord of the Scottish comedy circuit.

Something of an allrounder, Teddy joined production company, The Comedy Unit, in 2005, working as a writer, broadcaster, script editor, and producer before spreading his wings as a freelancer. He has worked and appeared on a myriad of shows such as The Karen Dunbar Show (BBC1), McAulay & Co (BBC Radio Scotland), Watson's Wind-Up (BBC Radio Scotland), Freddie Flintoff Ate My Ashes (BBC Radio 5).

'Cuddly exterior conceals biting wit of a man sharper than the average bear' The List
'Bitter, utterly heartfelt...impressive' Metro

CAMMY SINCLAIR

Surrealist folk singer Cammy (co-star of the 2010 fringe hit Cammy and Phil Kay’s Late Night Nonsense) returns after storming our Burn’s Supper.

Cammy has been a backbone of the Edinburgh live music scene for years – reggae, funk,, Afrobeat and Balkan gypsy jig bands all called on his services as a drummer and percussionist. He finds his true colours at the afterparty. Always one to get a guitar out and lead a late night sing-a-long. He is a natural entertainer and lyrically conjures up some laugh-out-loud scenarios. It was only a matter of time before he decided to do all this before 3am on a stage.

JOJO SUTHERLAND – Our compere

This charismatic comic performs in major comedy clubs across the UK where she is in as much demand for her compere abilities as she is for her comedy routine. Her natural stage presence alongside her "healthy neglect" attitude to children and life in general has proved extremely popular amongst many and varied audiences. She is regularly requested to support other comics on tour the likes of which have included Jenny Eclair and 4 poofs and a piano and has recently been performing warm up for the BBC1 sitcom "The Old Guys".

‘A conversational style with humour so interwoven it seems effortless.’ Chortle
‘Far funnier and more inventive than anyone has the right to expect.’ Evening News
‘A performer the audience could have watched all night.’ Herald

Live Music

ASAZI SPACE FUNK EXPLOSION – One of the most unique acts on Scottish music scene.

Asazi Space Funk Explosion first came together in the summer of 2003 in a darkened basement in London’s Camden. A combination of South African Kholeho “Asazi” Mosala’s rabble-rousing vocals, traditional percussion, saxophone andmarimba (wooden xylophone) with Alex Marten’s spacey, dubbed-out keys, skanking guitar fx and ambient soundscapes. The tight, funked up rhythm section is courtesy of Andy Farina, a stalwart bassist on the Edinburgh scene and (guess who) Cammy Sinclair on drums. A string of legendary, packed-out gigs at Edinburgh’s Jazz Bar, Bongo Club and the Knockengorroch Festival has recently caused their fan-base to erupt. Hot indeed.
