On Saturday 18th September Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair will be in Edinburgh and on Sunday 19th September Glasgow. Set up by former Selfridges stylist Judy Berger, the Fair has toured the UK since 2005 holding events for merchants of vintage clothing and accessories to get together in one space and cater for all the vintage lovers that have come to know the joys of embracing second-hand style.
After paying £2 to get in, which allows you to go in and out as many times as you would like throughout the day, you will be greeted by rails of swinging 60s dresses, 50s teddy girl jumpers, 40s gowns and racks upon racks of stunning clutches, shoulder bags and purses, and dozens of tables laden with piles of trinkets. There will be large menswear stalls selling vintage Barbour jackets for £45, shirts and tweeds from £10. Also, kitsch hand-made jewellery with Alice in Wonderland and Pop Art themes, 50s and 60s Mad Men style frocks, Mary Quant tights, and hand made headwear.
Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair consists of only the best vintage retailers and traders from cities far and wide. 40 stalls will be offering vintage clothing, accessories & homewares dating from the 1920s – 1980s. All stalls are price checked to reflect huge discounts, on average 40% lower than vintage available on the high street.
