EXTRA OPPORTUNITIES TO SEE SOLD OUT SHOWS DURING FINAL WEEK AT ASSEMBLY FESTIVAL
The Festival may be wrapping up but there’s no resting on their laurels for some as Assembly Festival announces extra shows for Des Bishop, Adam Hills, Fosters’ Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2010 nominee Sarah Millican, Hairy Maclary and Friends, Colours and Singin’ I’m no Billy, He’s a Tim, plus the inclusion of a special one-night only performance from the original cast of School of Comedy.
The extra shows start from tonight with Sarah Millican skipping the old town for one night only to bring her 5-star show (The Herald, 25/08/2010) Chatterbox to Assembly’s Music Hall just after midnight.
It is with much delight that Assembly announces two extra shows of Hairy Maclary and Friends is now on sale for 9am this Saturday and Sunday in the Edinburgh Suite following the massive queues of parents, kids (and prams!) outside Assembly Rooms each and every morning of this festival to see the much loved series of books brought to life.
Still in Edinburgh Suite, there are two extra performances of Des Bishop’s critically acclaimed sold-out show My Dad Was Nearly James Bond, this Friday and Saturday night at midnight.
Friday night at 11:30pmseesthe original class of the hit E4 series School of Comedy bring their new sketch show to Assembly Hall’s Rainy Hall for one night only. Aged in their mid to late teens, you’ll meet familiar characters (The Cabbie and Museum Perv) and catch a sneak peak at some of their brand new characters in the lead up to the television premiere of the second series next month.
Nominated for The Stage Theatre Awards, Singin’ I’m No a Billy, He’s a Tim will move their lock up from the Wildman Room up the mound also to Rainy Hall for one extra show this Saturday 28th at 11:30pm.
A special charity performance this Sunday at 11:30pm in Rainy Hall has been confirmed this morning by triple Perrier-nomineeAdamHillswho has been redefining the boundaries of audience interaction, social media and stand up this festival with his show Mess Around.
And finally Colours, the haunting and raunchy play about one woman’s survival in Africa, will perform one extra show at the Baillie Room next Monday 30 August at 10:50am.
