Scottish Book Trust Brings Children’s Laureate Anthony Browne to the National Gallery

The Scottish Book Trust will launch the week-long Scottish Friendly Children’s Book (*)Tour with Children’s Laureate Anthony Browne at the National Galleries.

 

Come along and join Anthony for an interactive event where you will use your eyes, ears and imagination to create pictures as well as play his fun Shape Game.

Anthony Browne is an internationally recognised author and illustrator of children’s books, with nearly forty titles to his name including the visually stunning Gorilla (1983) and Voices in the Park (1998).

He has been awarded both the Kate Greenaway Medal and the Kurt Maschler Emil Award. In 2000 he became the first British illustrator ever to win the Hans Christian Andersen Award and is the current Children’s Laureate.

This event is suitable for ages 5 and up. Please note that parents must be with their children at all times.

 The Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour will be taking Anthony Browne to schools across Eastern Scotland, visiting Fife, Angus, Moray and Aberdeenshire between May 10th and 14th.
