A NIGHT TO REMEMBER AT EDINBURGH’S ANNUAL FANFARE CONCERT
Edinburgh’s annual musical extravaganza starring pupils from across the City is due to take place next week, Monday 23 November.
This year, the popular Fanfare Concert will be taking place in the historic setting of the Usher Hall. Featuring something for everyone, a range of groups will be performing from traditional to rock and classical.
This year, the programme features a variety of acts including Edinburgh Schools Samba, Edinburgh Secondary Schools Orchestra and The City of Edinburgh Music School String Ensemble amongst other musical groups.
City Education Leader Cllr Marilyne MacLaren, said: “There is plenty of rich musical talent in all schools throughout the city and it’s sure to be a great night. I’m continuously impressed by the talent, dedication and hard work of our young people as their talent is nurtured and brought to fruition.”
The concert is part of the work of the City of Edinburgh Council's Music Service (Arts and Learning), which provides music tuition to pupils in schools and a full programme of city-wide bands, orchestras and ensembles.
