Vintage bluesman who has worked with many blues and rock greats including Steve Miller, Otis Rush, Lightning Hopkins, Bo Diddley, Solomon Burke, Tracey Nelson, Johnny Copeland, Honeyboy Edwards, Gary US Bonds and many more.

Tuesday 24 November –  Anna Massie and Mairearad Green (£6)

Anna Massie was BBC Young Trad Musician of 2003. A versatile instrumentalist whose performances brim with wit and charm, she is rapidly becoming one of Scotland's strongest Celtic guitarists. Appearing with her is long time associate Mairearad Green - a rare talent on accordion and pipes, known for her deft accordion work and innovative compositions which compliment Anna's playing perfectly.

Tuesday 1 December – Blueflint (£6)

Yearning ballads of love, loss and revenge nestle next to tales of suicide and untimely death. In Blueflint’s songs is an unflinching retelling of the human condition, lightened by exquisite harmony singing and the deft beauty shaped by their instrumental work. Touted by the Scotland on Sunday Review during 2008 as one of the top ten acts to watch, Blueflint are based around the banjo duo of Deborah Arnott and Clare-Louise Neilson.

Tuesday 8 December - Richard Dobson (£8)

This gritty down to earth Texan spent years in the musical company of such greats as Townes van Zant,  Rodney Crowell and Steve Earle. His carefully crafted songs have been recorded and/or co-written by artists such as David Allan Coe ("Piece of Wood and Steel"), Guy Clarke ("Forever, for Always, for Certain"; "Old Friends"), Lacy J Dalton ("Old Friends"), Nanci Griffith ("Ballad of Robin Winter-Smith") and Kelly Willis ("Hole in My Heart"). His song "Baby Ride Easy" was recorded as a duet by Carlene Carter and Dave Edmunds and by Billie Jo Spears and Del Reeves. It has also been recorded by the Carter Family and has been performed by  Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.
