LEITHEATRE - "AULD SANGS AND
NEW RHYMES - THE LIFE OF BURNS"
To celebrate the 250th anniversary of our
National Bard, Leitheatre has commissioned a new work, telling the story of his
life and work.
"Auld Sangs and New Rhymes" is a dramatised life story
with live music, songs and poems, from a company which has been entertaining
audiences with Burns shows for 30 years. The show will be performed in period
costume in an intimate "in the round" setting.
Audiences from home and abroad will love this new telling
of the life and work of Robert Burns.
We would be extremely grateful for any editorial

reviews. The show will be directed by Effie Robertson, musical direction and
arrangements by Gavin Pagan and scripted by John Archer.
The details of our show are as follows:
Leitheatre will present a new show "Auld Sangs and New
Rhymes - The Life of Burns" during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe
from Saturday 8th August to Friday 21st August 2009 at
7.30pm (not Sundays) and on Saturday 22nd August at 2.30pm (Matinee
only that day) at St Serf's Hall, Clark Road/Ferry Road, Goldenacre, Edinburgh,
Venue 83. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible.
Ticket prices are £9, £7 concessions (including programme
and refreshments) and are available

This will be Leitheatre's 26th year on the
